Should be REQUIRED WATCHING for any purchaser of a digital recording system (what other kinds are there these days? ... uh, not any except older analog recorders). With grids available aplenty to line up every single instrument in a track, you must avoid the temptation. Close your eyes and listen. Prof. Henkel's lesson is not lost on older recordists and musicians, but as students, you must know that the magic comes from musicians playing together. Bending, and speeding up and slowing down together- as we humans do. The strict adherence to a grid feels terrible and is bad for the soul.
